Get started with MitID

All NemID users will get MitID throughout 2021 and 2022. Read about how to get MitID here or select the link below, if you have ordered and received a MitID code reader and need to activate it.

You will be notified when it is your turn to get MitID

Most NemID users will get MitID from their online- or mobile bank. You will be notified automatically when it is your turn. When it is your turn to get MitID, you will be notified when you log on to your online or mobile bank. We ask for your patience, since MitID is gradually implemented throughout 2021 and 2022. If you don’t have a Danish or a Grenlandic bank, you need to request your MitID from MitID.dk.

Keep NemID until further notice

When you get your MitID, you need to keep your NemID until further notice, for example, your code card or you NemID app. For a limited period, a number of places will still allow you to use NemID, until NemID is finally phased out. Your bank or the Danish Authority for Digitalization will inform you, when you no longer are able to use NemID. Until you received this notification, you are not required to do anything.
